Gloucestershire Freeholders and Tenants: Tockington (1776)
The election of a knight of the shire to represent the county of Gloucester in Parliament began 6 May and continued until 17 May 1776, the Hon. George Cranfield Berkeley and William Bromley Chester, esq., being the candidates. The franchise was for adult males possessing freehold worth 40s or more per annum. This poll book lists all voters, arranged by hundred and then by township according to the place where their freehold lay. The voter's full name is given (surname first); place of abode; of what the freehold consists (such as messuage and lands); in whose tenure; and how his vote was cast.

W. Parson compiled this Manchester trades directory included in the second volume of the History, Directory, and Gazetteer of the County Palatine of Lancaster, by Edward Baines, published in 1825. The names are arranged alphabetically by surname and christian name, with address, including house numbers where appropriate.

Members of the Phonographic Corresponding Society (1845)
The Phonotypic Journal, published weekly, contains lists of new members of the Phonographic Corresponding Society, alterations (such as changes of address), and lists of contributions to the Phonographic Reformation Fund. The lists of new members give full name (surname first) and address. Members of the society agreed to correct the lessons of phonographic pupils through the post gratuitously: a duty not, however, incumbent on honorary members, marked in these lists with an asterisk.

Insolvents in bankruptcy in England and Wales (1846)
Perry's Bankrupt and Insolvent Gazette, issued monthly, included lists of insolvents petitioning the courts of bankruptcy, together with subsequent stages in their discharge. The insolvent is generally referred to by name (surname first, in capitals), address and trade. The initial notice of the petition gives the surnames of the Commissioner and the Official Assignee. This is the index to the names of the insolvents, from the issues from January to December 1846.
