His Majesty's ship the Theseus took part in the destruction of the French fleet in Aboukir Bay at the mouth of the Nile ('the Battle of the Nile') on the evening of the 1st and morning of the 2nd August 1798. This is the muster book for 1 June to 31 July 1798: being a continuation book in a series covering wages and victualling from September 1796, it also includes the names of some men who had died, deserted or been discharged from the ship from then to June 1798. Usually each man's entry gives his birthplace, and also his age on entering the ship.

The household of the Princess of Wales (1805)
His Royal Highness prince George, born in 1762, eldest son of his Majesty king George III, was the Prince of Wales. At the death of his father in 1820, he succeeded to the throne as king George IV. His wife, the Princess of Wales, was his cousin, the princess Carolina Amelia Elizabeth, second daughter of the Duke of Brunswick Wolfenbuttel. Officials of her household are listed in Holden's Triennial Directory of 1805 to 1807.
