| Agriculturalists in southern England
(1823) 'A Natural and Chymical Treatise of Agriculture, from the Works of Count Gustavus Adolphus Gyllenborg; with Practical Remarks and Additions: by W. Pilkinton, Land Surveyor, Valuer of Estates, and Late Secretary to the East Devon Agricultural Society', was published in Banbury in 1823, having been subscribed to in advance by over 2000 farmers and gentlemen, mainly from the southern counties, doubtless anxious to discover the secrets of Gyllenborg's new techniques for improving crop yields.

| Agriculturists and horticulturists
(1829) J. Baxter of Lewes, proprietor of the Sussex Agricultural Press, published in 1830 a compendium called 'The Library of Agricultural and Horticultural Knowledge; with an Appendix on Suspended Animation, Poisons, and the Principal Laws relating to Farming and Rural Affairs'. This was supported by a large subscription of interested gentlemen, farmers and gardeners. There is also this list of subscribers who paid a guinea each for the purchase of a handsome silver tureen which was presented to John Ellman in 1829 'as a token of sincere regard and as a tribute of his great merit, on his retiring from Glynde Farm, in which for more than half a century he has devoted himself to the interest of Agriculture; especially in improving the breed of South-down Sheep, and for his much-admired Conduct to his Labourers. | Boys entering Elizabeth College, Guernsey
(1829) Elizabeth College, Guernsey, was founded in 1563 and rechartered in 1825. Charles James Durand, Kentish Brock and Edward Charles Ozanne compiled this edition of the college register, published in 1898. The names are arranged by term of entering the school, with a sequential number, surname and christian names in bold: then place and date of birth, father's name or reference to a brother previously at the school; and year of leaving.
